A Night Out with: Warrior Women Events X Wild Thing Supper Club

This week I had the pleasure of finally visiting Cardiffs latest addition to our vegan scene, the gorgeous Wild Thing. Found in Grangetown, just a 10 minute walk from Central station, Wild Thing is a cafe that is so much more than just great food. (although a quick look through their Instagram will get you immediately drooling) Lauren is on a social mission to help end food poverty, encourage people to eat more veggies and lower the impact on the environment. If you haven’t visited her yet, you need to!

When Warrior Women Events said they were going to collaborate with Lauren for a supper club there was no question in my mind, I was going and I am so glad I did.

The greatest thing for me about these events is the community it builds. A room full of women, all on different journeys all listening, chatting and growing from the conversations around them. There is an openness and a support that is so special and I always leave feeling so empowered. You quickly realise that no one persons success is as simple or as shiny as social media my show it, and when you get to finally sit down and chat you realise the graft that all these amazing women’s put in to achieve their dreams. Plus its a fantastic opportunity to put faces to the businesses you know and discover many that you didn’t!

We were treated to three gorgeous courses dreamed up by head chef Huw with homemade Lemon & Lavendar cordial to welcome us and with lights twinkling and candles lit there was a real buzz as we settled in for a feast full of flavour and textures and beautifully presented food.

If you haven’t yet delved into the world of Cardiff networking events DO IT. You’ll meet a crowd of women that will encourage and challenge you and you’ll never look back. I’ve already got my tickets for Warrior Women’s Career Club on April 4th, and can’t wait to make their themed monthly panels a regular part of my diary. Will I see you there?
