CHECKING IN: The Chambers, Leeds

A family wedding brought us to Leeds this month and after a year without a holiday we decided to splash out on some beautiful accommodation. The Chambers hotel/apartments had cropped up a few times when looking for recommendations and it did not disappoint! It was like stepping into a different life, with sweeping stairs leading off the street, a gorgeous reception greeted us with communal mini bar and a basket full of eggs to help yourself to for breakfast, there were umbrellas to borrow if it was raining, and a beautiful courtyard. Every detail was thought about. It was pure luxury.

After checking in we took the lift up to our apartment and it blew me away, the most gorgeous bathroom I’ve ever seen, stunning navy bedroom (complete with Harrogate spring water, always a big biased tick from me) and the living space of dreams with a glamorous table all made up for dinner, the most enormous sofa I’ve ever seen and a sleek white kitchen stocked with all the essentials.

With an early start planned for the big day and being EXHAUSTED from the 5 hour drive (Wales to North Yorkshire on a Friday night is not fun-traffic was hell) so we decided on a night in rather than dinner out and a quick walk to Marks & Spencer meant we could stock up an easy tea and pop some prosecco on ice to kick off the celebrations. Curling up watching ‘The Post’ on the TV (great film, brilliant cast, watch it!) made it the perfect home stay.

It might have been a short but sweet visit but I cannot praise this place enough, those nights of luxury make the whirlwind trips soooo much more relaxing. The location is perfect, if you need a city centre stay this is your place, its away from the major hustle and bustle so its quiet and easy to find but it was central enough that we could walk to and from the wedding, the shops and in walking we discovered some beautiful hidden treasures including the lush Wolfox coffee shop. Their perfectly styled cafe, health food menu and organic coffee was an absolute saviour when we had a couple of hours to ourselves between ceremony & reception.

If you’d like to check into this luxurious accommodation then rooms starts from £108/night
