Discovering Worcestershire’s Confetti Fields

A year ago for the first time I saw photos on Instagram of The Real Flower Petal Confetti Co  and it immediately went on my Great Britain bucketlist. The colours, textures and sheer scale of their beautiful flower fields looked heavenly but with only a 10 day window to visit sadly I  had missed it and so the longest wait began.

Skip forward about 10 months and those dates were firmly in the diary. Both weekends were kept empty to allow for multiple visits and the weather was, thankfully, on our side. A picnic was packed and we jumped in the car for a beautiful road trip. About an hour and a half from Cardiff it was easy enough to hop on main roads up to Worcestershire, passing beautiful pubs (I’d highly recommend lunch at The Jockey Inn) and delightful, picturesque towns we found ourselves in Wick with a crowd of people making the most of the beautiful sunshine. At only £2.50 entry it’s a bargain day out, and although the site is relatively small you can still comfortably spend an hour or two strolling amongst the delphiniums and cornflowers before settling down for a picnic, grabbing an ice cream from the refreshments tent and queuing up to take your own bunch of these gorgeous blooms home.

It is such a delight to see these fields and I really would recommend it to anyone. Photographers are everywhere making the most of the idyllic backdrop, so grab your favourite sundress and a nice big hat, take your camera or track down one of the many professionals who set up camp there for the week and make some memories that will last a lifetime in one of the prettiest destinations you’ll find this summer.
